Chapter: Regulation, Replication, Recombination

Several things that I found interesting in this chapter:

  • I like how Siddhartha includes digestible graphics that build towards the common knowledge of DNA functionality.
  • The recursive nature of DNA is appealing. Bonus points for relating it to that turtle-obsessed cosmologist.
  • “Geneticists count, biochemists clean.” Which sounds the most appealing to you? Quantifying or making order? Personally, I’d rather count than clean.
